 My Parents' Stereo
When I was a little boy growing up I remember this strange piece of equipment that occupied our living room. The sound of the orchestra was always very "real" to me.
I was never so shocked when I came to realize after starting AudioNoteKits that the amplifier I grew up listening to at my parents was actually built from a kit!

 My First Audiophile
...He discussed at length with me everything from his Decca Gold Cartridge to his Dolby tape deck to the strings on his Les Paul Guitar - Jeff and I spent many an hour discussing the intricate details of music, equipment and all things ROCK! He was unusual compared to any of my other friends – he was totally devoted to his passion MUSIC – spending 1000’s of dollars on gear from his school boy allowance and odd jobs...

 Interstage Coupled Amps

Andy Grove of Audio Note UK discusses the advantages, design, and implementation of Interstage Transformers (such as those used in out Interstage Mono Block Power Amplifiers) in this in-depth technical article.

So You Thought Your Amplifier Was Balanced?
Balanced connection has become one of the fashion words in the audiophile vocabulary, however, no matter who one asks, no-one seem to really know what it means, so Andy Grove and I thought it was on time someone explained what the term balanced line actually means, why it is used and what constitutes a proper balanced connection...

The Audio Note Transformer Design Philosophy
...The transformer is sometimes seen as a barrier to amplifier performance, and whilst on a theoretical level this is to an extent is true. A transformer does have a finite bandwidth, but as will be shown and discussed later in this article, when properly researched, designed and made the limits achievable in practice are more than wide enough for what is required by the harmonic envelope of a musical signal...

Why Does Audio Note Choose Double C-Cores Rather Than I-E Core?
This is an area of very little understanding in the modern audio industry and as a result much controversy, so Andy Grove and I would like to give at least some background as to why Audio Note’s best transformers use C-cores and always will do, despite cost and availability problems...

Are You on the road to Audio Hell?
The quiz - We Audiophiles are always trying to sharpen our skills at evaluating audio components. However, the very methods we use can result in precisely the opposite of the effect desired, namely boredom or frustration with our audio system before we have even paid for it; in other words, AUDIO HELL. Take the following short quiz to help determine if you have traveled this road lately.....

 The Negative Effects of Feedback
Before his successful invention of recorded music, Thomas Edison had to arrive at the fundamental realization that sound can be entirely characterized in two dimensions. His first cylindrical recording was nothing more than a rough approximation of the changes in pressure amplitude (caused by the modulation of his voice) plotted against a constant timebase (generated by the steady turning of a crank). Crude as his technique may have been, sound was recorded and quite recognizably, reproduced. The limiting factor in Edison's first experience was not his idea, but his hardware; further refinements in the field of audio could come only from improvements in technique....

 AN-E Lexus Signature Review
This is a review of Audio Note's AN-E Lexus Signature loudspeaker over at Stereofile.com. The main reason for inclusion here is that the article contains some interesting history about the Audio Note loudspeakers. It also gives you some idea as to how far the AN-E design can be taken.
